Dr. Leyton Childers is a Knott country native that graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic in March 2015. After Chiropractic school Dr. Childers worked in Hazard, KY at East Kentucky Chiropractic for 2 years. Dr Childers was married in 2014 to Mara Childers who works as an Occupational Therapist. They were proud to announce the birth of their twin sons in January 2018. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA). Dr. Childers utilizes multiple chiropractic techniques to adjust his patients including Diversified, Thompson, Webster (for pregnancy), and a low force Activator and Impulse adjusting techniques. In addition, Dr. Childers holds a certificate in FAKTR methods which utilizes an instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization technique with various forms of rehab to break up underlying adhesions and scar tissue. He has treated all age groups From geriatrics to pediatrics and a variety of conditions/diagnoses from pregnancy to Headaches. Dr. Childers has had success using FAKTR techniques in combination with traditional chiropractic Treatments to improve the well-being and functioning of a variety of athletes. He currently resides in Hindman, Kentucky with his wife Mara and twin sons Kainen and Krew.
